We are a group of nerds, martial artists and stuntpeople who dearly love Star Wars, based in the Sierra foothills of California. Lightsaber technique is a fun & rewarding practice suitable for all ages, sizes, styles and experience levels! Our classes are open and free to the public: always have been, always will be.
Haven’t got a duel-worthy lightsaber? No worries, we have plenty of spares.
Future plans: choreography, stunt movies, fun times and probably watching the original trilogy again.

About the Art
In 1995 Nick Gillard signed on as stunt coordinator for the upcoming Star Wars prequel trilogy. George Lucas assigned him the task of developing a new martial art to depict the Jedi and Sith orders at the peak of their power and artistry. Nick put his crew together (including Ray Park, who would later be signed to play Darth Maul) and quickly got to work. They researched, practiced and explored martial arts from all over the world to build this new style. What resulted was a mixed martial art built out of pieces of existing arts, such as kendo, fencing, wushu, eskrima, bojutsu, jojutsu and many other forms of stick fighting, knife fighting and swordplay.
This new Jedi martial art, having its roots in the martial arts of the real world, proved to be a highly functional, effective and rewarding discipline. It is this weapon-based mixed martial art that we practice, explore and hone.
